This site is dedicated to learning the basics of computer security training. This site will be useful especially to small business owners, managers, new IT professionals pursuing certifications, and anyone interested in securing their information from vulnerabilities.

The story behind this site begins almost 7 years ago when I bought my first laptop computer. It was a refurbished IBM Thinkpad that I had saved many, many paychecks to get.

I remember waiting for mailman daily in anticipation of it arrival. When it finally arrived, I immediately been building databases of products I wanted sell, business plans, and sales materials. I was on my way to riches thanks to this little portable machine!

You can imagine the absolute horror listening to my hard drive squeal like a set of bad car brakes. My entire hard drive was damaged after being tricked into visiting a fake phishing site.
I don’t know what happened, but the moment I clicked on that link – my computer was lost, my memory irrevocably corrupted, my dreams put on hold, and my money wasted.

It would be years before I could afford another laptop.

Fast forward to present times, I was determined to find a safe laptop for business and personal use. So I go out and buy a high-priced Apple computer that would give me strong protection against viruses and worms, but unfortunately it still offered little protection from hackers and fake websites.

I needed more help.

So while I am in business school I drop $1,828.20 U.S. on a single graduate level class in computer network security.
